Obituaries Rosamude Fisher Strozier Stewart September 25, 2003 Nov. 1, 1910 to Sept. 23, 2003 Rosamude Fisher Strozier Stewart, a fifth-generation Texan died in Conroe, Texas on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at the age of 92 years. She was born to Dr. William Marcel Strozier and Mary Ann Enloe Strozier on Nov. 1, 1910 in Santa Anna, Texas. In 1920 the family moved to Houston where she graduated from Rice University in 1932. Following graduation, Mrs. Stewart lived in the Philippines for a year, and then moved to Conroe where she taught school and met and married A. K. Stewart, a Conroe attorney who died in 1987. Mrs. Stewart taught school in the Conroe, Splendora, Aldine and Magnolia School districts for 30 years. She is survived by four children and their spouses: Rosemary and Bernie Minard, Al and Sue Stewart, Nancy Gay and Charley Walters, Marcelle and B. J. Slovak; ten grandchildren, Keith and Evan Minard, Lindley and Keith Mills Stewart, Amy Stewart Jaeger, Brooks, Will and Mathew Walters, Nadia and Julia Slovak; two great-grandchildren, Erich and Katherine Jaeger; o! ne step-great-grandchild, Joseph Ladd. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret S. Lewis and seven nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Dr. William Enloe Strozier. Following her retirement, Mrs. Stewart devoted much of her time to the Study of genealogy and was a member of the following: The Colonial Dames, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the Daughters of 1812, the Daughters of the Confederacy and the Montgomery County Genealogical Society. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Genealogy Room of the Montgomery County Library or the Montgomery County Genealogical Society, or the charity of your choice. Friends and family are invited to a memorial reception on Sunday, Sept. 28, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Mrs. Stewart's home.
