Tom Koop will be officiating. Mrs. Simpson was born Aug 14, 1917 inNavasota, TX and passed away Jan 8, 2001 in Conroe. Mrs. Simpson is survived by her husband, J. W. of Conroe, son JoeW. Simpson, III MD of Austin, sister-in-law, Virginia Ruth Simpson Clarke andhusband, Jack of Mountain Home, TX. Nieces: Nicole Bilbao and husband Ray of Frisco, TX and their son JackRaymond Bilbao of Frisco, TX: Carey Bond and husband of Coburn of MountainHome, TX: grandchildren, Molly Lauren Simpson and Julie Elizabeth Simpson ofAustin, TX; and their mother, Laurie Ruddy of Austin, TX; cousin Betty StinsonGowing of Conroe; and special friends,Sammie Gregory and Janet Knox. Mrs.Simpson was a Pioneer in Women’s Athletics having retired from ConroeIndependent School District after 33 years as a Physical Educationteacher. Mrs. Simpson was a graduate ofMontgomery High School, graduate of Baylor University, a member of theMontgomery County Genealogical & Historical Society, The American Daughtersof Revolutions Society and member of Daughters Republic of Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan 10, 2001from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow under the direction of Metcalf Funeral Directorsin the Oakwood Cemetery. Jane Keppler
