We will have an update on plans for the "Texas Genealogy and Family History Fair" to be held at the Walker County Fairgrounds on June 23rd. Verna Banes has initiated a "Phone Book" project as a part of the Fair. You are asked to bring any old telephone books you may have. These phone books can be from anywhere, not just local. These phone books will be placed on the "Freebie Table" at the fair to be given to anyone who may be interested. These old phone books are sometimes a great source for locating genealogical and family contacts. If you have some of these books to donate, please bring them to the meeting on Saturday. Also, if you have not already done so, please send in your registration for the Fair so we can get your surnames in the "Surname Booklet" to be distributed at the fair. Information about the Fair can be obtained by going to the society's webpage at: www.DickensonResearch.com/wcgen.htm and clicking on the link to the Fair. There is also a link to a brochure on the Fair information page. Hope to see you Saturday. Johnnie Jo Dickenson - President E-Mail: info@DickensonResearch.com --part1_a.a3022c6.27e24dcc_boundary--

O. Box 867 Conroe, TX 77305-0867 Please be sure and mark it as sponsor. Vol. 2 is now in the planning stages. This will take quite some time, so publication is not expected for 4-5 years. It has been 20 years since Vol. 1 was published, so there is lots to add.
