    1. [TXMONTGO] new Montgomery county book
    2. Laura Rentfro
    3. Hi, I tried to contact mcghs@yahoo.com about the new book but my email came bouncing back. Specifically I'd like to know if these families are in it (I'm clipping from my message): Rentfro, Banton, Linton, and Backstrom. Robert Byron Rentfro, son of Erasmus Darwin Rentfro and Catherine Banton, signed the Texas state constitution as the delegate from Montgomery county in 1875. He married Laura Backstrom Linton, daughter of William Nelson Linton and Eliza Backstrom, who also lived in Montgomery county. The Bantons were mostly in Walker county, but it never hurts to ask. If the right person sees this, please let me know. Thanks, Laura Rentfro lmrentfro@pcis.net

It's about "Courthouse Experiences" http://www.bcpl.net/~dmg/courthouse.htm Not every county is listed here, but it can be helpful anyway as it gives helpful information regarding the attitudes of those working in the courthouses. You can add a positive or negative courthouse experience you've encountered to this site, hopefully positive ones! <wink> It will possibly help others "prepare" for courthouses they wish to visit Maybe we can even add this link to our TXGenWeb home page?
