My grandfather moved to TX sometime before 1887. I have very little to go on and would appreciate any help you might have.

John Douglas Painter must have returned to his home in Barry County Missouri because he is buried there in the Corinth (Huff) Cemetery. There are other Painter family members buried there as well.
