Snyder Pierce, there was another widow, Mrs. Lucy Church and several children. I have recently stumbled upon a possible connection to an Edward Church Wilburn family on Sarah's mother's side. I think one of E.C. (Ned) Wilburn's children by Nancy Overton was Rachael Marinda Wilburn who married a John Snyder, and that they were Sarah E. (Snyder) Pierce's parents. A Rachael Marinda Snyder died in Montague county June 7, 1924. My great great grandmother Sarah E Snyder Pierce was still living in Bowie at that time. Other circumstantial evidence points to Rachael Wilburn & John Snyder being the parents of my grt grt grandmother Sarah. When I saw the Church family living next door to Sarah I wondered if they were living nearby because they were related. I know that Church was a middle name in the Wilburn family.
