I am trying to find any information available on the people listed below who appear on the 1900 census for Montgague county. George Haney was in Hill Co around 1870, then disappears, presumably to Indian Territory, for a long time, then applies for a CSA pension in 1899 in Montgague County. I cannot find a death record, burial place or anything else on him after 1900. Also are there are any marriage records available that would tell who the granddaughter married. I have just finished reading the Nocona News about the fires in north Texas and specifically Montague County, and I believe there are a lot of heroes that need to be recognized. I hope some local person could tie all the events together and write an article for this Montague County page so it would be preserved in the archives. Frank Martin
