Joe Allen Martin b. July 1866 TN both parents born TN. married to Nancy Elizabeth Doolen (Nannie). b. Feb. 1861 TX d/o William Doolen b. 1820 IL. d. 1865 Texarkana, Navarro Co, TX and his wife Sarah Foster b. 1825 IL. The Doolen family came from KY to IL and later to TX. William Doolen is s/o Jesse Doolen and Rachel Bone, who were born in KY but later settled in IL. William Doolen is recorded as one of the first settlers to Navarro Co., TX. He had come there from his home in IL. Joe Allen Martin and Nannie Doolen had these children, probably all born and raised in Sunset, TX. May W.
