    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Reasor, Fletcher, Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ikB.2ACE/204.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Norma, You are so kind to offer to do that for me. I have found Capitola in the 1920 census as the wife of J. W. Fletcher, mother of John W. Fletcher, Jr. I believe she is also the mother of my great grandmother Ruby Fletcher Pierce. The 1920 census indicates Capitola was born in Kentucky, as were both of her parents. I wonder when her family moved to Texas. There is one instance of Capitola Reasor on the ancestry.com world tree, although the dates of birth and death are slightly different than those on the grave marker you found. (She is listed by researcher Helen Parker as the youngest of six children born to William Reasor and Susan Carpenter Stout Reasor.) I am going to try to contact Ms. Parker. She has the birth date as 11-6-1866 in Spencer County, KY. (One year later, almost to the day, than the gravestone in Elmwood Cemetery.) Can you find this Reasor family in either Texas or Kentucky census records between 1870 and 1910? Also, John W. Fletcher's parents were supposedly born in Kentucky, according to the 1920 census, while he himself was born in Texas. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help. God bless you, Walker

Surnames: Smith, Purdy, Eggleston Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ikB.2ACE/202 Message Board Post: I have an ancestor, Ransom S. Purdy who married Idella V. Eggleston in 1876 probably in Seiver Co, Arkansas. I have located them on the 1880 Census in Lampasas County with a 2 year old daughter Jennie Maude Purdy. "Maude" married a Tom Smith probably around 1893 to 1896. I'm try to find out where and when that marriage occurred. I have found the Purdy's & the Smith's both on the 1900 Census in Indian Territory, the Smith's with 3 children. It has been stated that Tom followed the Chilsom Trail as a cow hand and could have met up with Maude somewhere along the trial. Could someone please check to see if you find a marriage for Jennie Purdy to Tom Smith in the Montague County Marriage Records? -Eric Smith Hurst, TX
