In my first query I ask for some info on my g=grandfather. Well since he had a son that was born in 1879 one would assume that he had a first wife that either ended in death or divorce. That is what I need help with. I believe that I found him on the 1880 census with someone named S.E. but cant be for sure. His sons name was James Houston Williams, and believe it or not he grew up to marry his step mother Ida Jane Scott after her divorce from John Franklin Williams up in Oklahoma. I need some help, actually any help with J.F.'s first marriage Again James Houston was born in 1879 in Montague county to my g-grandfather and a woman. If someone can help with maybe a divorce record or death record it would help me greatly as I have been stuck her quite some time. Thanks

Does anyone know if there is a source for Bowie births/christenings? We believe four children of John & Margaret C (Garrison) CHRISTIAN were born there.....Mary 1841, Elizabeth 1843, James 1846, and John Wesley 1848. According to our source (descendants of John Wesley) John and Margaret were in Bowie at least by 1846. We are searching for documentation of the GARRISON surname. Thank you for your help. Melba
