She went by the name of Mollie. She married Olloway Keck at the end of the 1800's or early 1900's. She is buried in the Healdton, Ok (Carter County) Cemetery. She died in the early 1960's. Olloway is buried in the Keck Cemetery in Montague County near Nocona, TX He died in the late 1950's. She hailed from Montague County and her sister married a Brown. I know nothing of her family and am not even sure of the spelling of her maiden name. Graves or Groves. Family members do not agree on the correct spelling. My father was Dewey Keck. He died April 1st, 2001 and is buried in the Temple, OK (Cotton County) Cemetery. My mother is Lucille Inez Daugherty Keck and she is still living. She is 84 years old. Anyone that can reveal my grandmother's past or even the spelling of her maiden name, please join in and post that info. Thank You! Vickie Keck Nowlin

I have a probate dated March 15th, 1899. Where a Price Chandler was apponited as temporany administrater over the estate, of W.M. and Q.V. Allen decesed. Callie sold her 1/7 for $100.00 (She had married Frank Hollingsworth 08-17-1894, in Montague CO.) The youngest child Floyd was placed in the home of James Smith. George, Luther, and Minnie was placed in the Sam V. Horton family. This appered in the 1900 census. The oldest boy Lonnie was married and William Boyd had gone to Indian Territory near present day Ringling. I'M needing help in finding out what happened to CATHERINE DOWNING.. Who was her parents and where did she come , and where did she go.. Would appericate any and all help on this one. I am really stuck here. Thanks in advance. Jan

Its Past and Present", page 114-115, The first settlers came in the late 1850's, settling in a valley surrounded by hills, or mounds, and a flowing stream. A trapper with the last name of Dye built a trading post at the foot of one of the mounds. The community, the creek were named for him. There is no first name for Mr. Dye given in the article.
