ISHAM was born there in 1844 and was in Montague CO, TX by 1900. I believe his father ANDREW BENTLEY came from Union CO, SC and was married in Blount Co in 1835. I'm still sorting out who Andrew's father was. I haven't found a GA connection yet, but it wouldn't surprise me--looks like I'm descended from several very large, very Southern families! For the obit, If they lived in Sunset, Tx. , I would contact the Bowie News in Bowie, Tx. or the Wise Messenger in Decatur, Tx. Sunset is between Bowie and Decatur. The cemetery is the S m y r n a Cemetery, when you type it with no spaces it looks like Smyma. I live in the immedate vicinity, so if there is anything else I can help you with let me know. I would just like to know where to get copy of marriage license and a copy of obit for Franklin.
