Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday, March 28, at Blue United Methodist Church in Blue with Rev. Geary McManus of Knobbs Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed in the Burns Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Stifflemire was born Sept. 9, 1942, in Beaukiss to Estill N. Stifflemire and Rita Velma Folsom Stifflemire. He married Mary E. Boudrias on Nov. 23, 1990, in Blue, officiated by Rev. Geary McManus. He was member of Blue United Methodist Church. He was a resident of Lexington all of his life except years spent traveling in the military. Mr. Stifflemire was a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, civil service retiree from Bergstrom AFB and a long time rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Jean Jackson and Betty Williams. Survivors include his wife Mary Stifflemire of Lexington; two sons Richard West Stifflemire of Silver Spring, MD, Leonard Daniel Stifflemire and wife Mindy of Gonzales; three daughters Cheryl Behrendt and husband Eddie of Kingsland, Rhonda Stifflemire of Odessa, Melison Stifflemire of Austin; brother Herman E. “Billy” Stifflemire and wife Julia of Lexington; sisters Sue Leach of Taylor and Gail Sons of Taylor; step-children Denise Larsen and husband Todd of Cibolo, Ronnie Buford and wife Chelsea of Lexington, Michael Adams and wife Kerry of Selden, NY, Joey Adams and wife Wanda of Elgin; also, 11 grandchildren.
