Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Johnny Kueker officiating. Burial followed in the Hope Lutheran Memorial Park in Buckholts. Mr. Balusek, a retired carpenter and broom maker, was born Oct. 26, 1915 in San Gabriel to Emil and Louise (Wentrcek) Balusek. He married Clara Glaser on Aug. 2, 1942 and she preceded him in death. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of V.F.W. Post 2010 and S.P.J.S.T. He was a member of the Buckholts Brethren Church. One brother, Dan Balusek of Cameron, survives.
