Tyler, 71, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at his home in Lexington. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, in Adina Christian Church in Adina with Rev. Leonard Leake officiating. Burial followed in the Adina Cemetery in Adina. Mr. Tyler was born April 19, 1933, in the Eagle community in Milam County to John William and Annie (O’Bier) Tyler. He married Marilyn June Jackson on May 21, 1991, in Madisonville. A graduate of Rockdale High School, Mr. Tyler lived most of his life in Lexington and Lee County. He worked in metal services at Alcoa for 28 years before retiring in 1995. He loved dogs and was an avid wolf hunter and member of South Texas Wolf Hunters Assn. He was also member of Adina Christian Church in Adina, American Legion in Lexington, American Quarter Horse Assn. and Lexington Rodeo Assn. Mr. Tyler was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lucille Holliman and Susie Garner. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Tyler of Lexington; three sons, Johnny Wayne Tyler and wife Rene of Lexington, Michael Biehle and wife Candy of Lexington, Craig Biehle and wife Gail of Lexington; a daughter, Diane Bell and husband Mike of Giddings; a brother, Dan Tyler and wife Exie of Houston; a sister, Tommie Nell Roach of Porter; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Tom Wagner, Danny Wilhite, Guy Crim, Wayne Ray, Jimmy Smith, Ken Rhodes and Clayton Beasley. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Norman, Foy Knipp and Jerry Crim. Memorials may be made to Adina Christian Church or to MDA/ALS Foundation.
