Thomason, 76, of Rockdale will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Black Jack Volunteer Fire Department Station in Black Jack with Rev. Jim Heckman officiating. Mr. Thomason died Thursday, March 17, in Richards Memorial Hospital. A Rockdale resident for the past 25 years, he was born Oct. 7, 1928, in Hot Springs, AR, to Joseph Lee and Gusie (Barkley) Thomason. He married Dolores Tempone on Feb. 7, 1958, in Reno, NV. Mr. Thomason was a baker and a veteran of the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his wife, Dolores Thomason of Rockdale; two sons, Jimmy Thomason and Carl Thomason Jr., both of Reading, CA; a stepson, Mark Hull of Rockdale; three daughters, Mary Ann Billy of Reading, CA, Diana Thomason of Washington and Loretta Chambers of Rockdale; a stepdaughter, Jan Houser of Pasadena; and three brothers, Dean Thomason of Sheridan, AR, Jim Thomason of Cabot, AR, and Johnny Thomason of Ohio; also, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
