It is not know how long he had been dead. Mr. Jatel was a native of Moravia, Austria and at the time of his death was the possessor of a fine gold metal that was presented to him by Francis Joseph, Emperor of Austria for gallantry in the Crimean War, he having been a soldier in the Austrian army at that time.
