He was playing around a fire out of doors and his clothing caught fire, and before assistance could reach him was so badly burned that the attending physician thinks he cannot live. Several years ago Mr. Palmer lost his wife and three children in a fire that destroyed his dwelling. This is the fourth member of his family to be afflicted by fire. = = = = Dallas Morning News, 28 Feb 1899, p.3 Dallas, Dallas County, Texas Died from Effects of Burns Rockdale, Tex., 26 Feb – The three-year-old son of Mr. Leslie Palmer, who was so badly burned a few days ago by his clothing catching fire, died yesterday from the effects of his burns. This is the fourth member of Mr. Palmer’s family that he has lost by their being burned, having lost his wife and three children a few years ago.
