Calvin Springer officiating. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale. Mrs. Brannon died Thursday morning, March 24, in Richards Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of Milam County, she was born April 11, 1923, in the Gay  Hill community to A.A. and Louise Fannie (Hirt) Doss. She married A.W. “Wilson” Brannon on July 27, 1943, in Cameron. A nurse, Mrs. Brannon was a Rockdale High School graduate, a member of First Baptist Church in Rockdale and a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.W. “Wilson” Brannon on Aug. 3, 2004; her parents; three brothers, Jim Doss, Harry Doss and Pete Doss; and two sisters; Edna Niemstch and Lillie Koch. Survivors are a son, Ronnie Wilson Brannon and wife Barbara Jean of Hutto; a daughter, Joan Gail Morgan and husband Charlie Frank of Rockdale; a brother, Robert Doss and wife Aileen of Lake Jackson; a sister, Nellie Partee of New Braunfels; and eight grandchildren, Lorie Key, Mike Morgan, Leah Parker, Larry Morgan, Karry Morgan, Bryan Brannon, Donald Padgett and Misty Nielsen; also, 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mike Morgan, Larry Morgan, Karry Morgan, Donald Padgett, Bryan Brannon and Clint Parker. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O.
