Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale with Rev. Calvin Springer officiating. Mrs. Lance, homemaker, was born May 27, 1908 at Val Verde to John A. and Josie (Simmons) McDonald. She married Fred Y. Lance on Sept. 1, 1935 in Rosebud. She was a resident of Rockdale for the past 38 years and formerly of Houston. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockdale. She attended school in Minerva and enjoyed crochet and embroidery. Mrs. Lance was preceded in death by her husband Fred Y. Lance, sister Jessie Mae Burgess, brother Marvin McDonald.
