Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. John Warren of St. John’s United Methodist in Rockdale. Mr. Duderstadt was born Jan. 8, 1927, in Mountain Home to Thomas Andrew and Caroline Elizabeth (Spellman) Duderstadt. He married Shirley Reese on Dec. 18, 1955. He was in the U.S. Navy Air Force during World War II. In 1948 he received his certificate of broadcasting jointly from Standford University in Palo Alto, CA and National Broadcasting Company in New York City, NY. He was a 1950 graduate of Chico State College and a 1959 graduate of the University of Denver in Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers E.F. Duderstadt and T.T. Duderstadt, sisters Anna Laura Vaughn and Honor Woerndell. Survivors include his wife Shirley Duderstadt of Tomball; son Thomas Andrew Duderstadt II and wife Sheila of Pinehurst; three daughters Anna Laura Duderstadt of Bozeman, MT, Honor Galloway and husband Edward of Lakewood, CA, Ruth Duderstadt of Tomball, Caroline Parks and husband Mac of Jarrell; two sisters Carolyn Mitchell of Kingsville, Ruth Love of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren, Spencer, Paige, Drew and Madison Duderstadt, Trey, Jacob, Ian and Annaliese Galloway, Creston Leong, Sarah and Emily Parks.
