Jim Lafferty officiating. Mrs. Shelander died Tuesday, Sept. 17, at her home. She was born Nov. 23, 1937, in Beaumont to Sidney Thomas and Mildred Ruth Plake Cooper. She had owned and operated her own crafts business. Survivors are her husband, Billy Shelander of Cameron; a son, Charles Thomas Shelander of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Anne Easterling of Austin and Layne Tinney of Belton; a brother, Tom Cooper of San Antonio; a sister, Kathy Mitchell of Gause; also, four grandchildren.
