Skopek, 87, of Taylor were held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. David Tietz officiating. Burial followed in the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery. She died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002 at her home. Mrs. Skopek was born in Deanville, Burleson County on Jan. 1, 1915, the daughter of Mary (Brinkmann) and Otto R. Luedke. On Oct. 31, 1936, she was married to August Laddie Skopek. Mrs. Skopek had made her home in Taylor for the past 20 years. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Benny Luedke. Surviving are: Two daughters, Gloria J. Pimpler and husband Carroll of Round Rock and Rebecca Tatman and husband Jim of Mount Pleasant; five grandchildren, Richard and Lisa Pimpler of Florence, Wade and Tina Tatman of Evergreen, CO, Randall Pimpler of Taylor, Leslie and Peter Dill of Rochester, MI, Cheree and Rusty Peterson of Cypress; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Dearen of Troy and Esther Heine of Austin; brother, Otto Luedke of Pflugerville. Pallbearers were Richard Pimpler, Randall Pimpler, Wade Tatman, Rusty Peterson, Bill Heine and Virgil Heine.
