John Henry Cash, 81, were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 at Edmund Boulevard Baptist Church in San Angelo with the Rev. Bob Elliott officiating. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in Westlawn Cemetery in Del Rio with the Rev. Jack Calk officiating. He died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002 in San Angelo. Rev. Cash was born Aug. 2, 1921, in Del Rio. He was a graduate of Del Rio High School, Baylor University, and Southwestern Theological Seminary. He served in the United States Army-Air Force in the European Theater during World War II. Rev. Cash pastored churches in English and Spanish in Marfa, Acquilla, Minerva, Comstock, Langtry and Pandale over the past 62 years. He also taught school in Comstock for 29 years. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Gladys (Shelander) Cash of San Angelo; children, Henry Cash and wife, Becky, and Andy Cash and wife, Shirley, all of San Angelo, and Janet Wallace and husband, Lindsey, of Robert Lee; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charlie Cash, and wife Frankie, of Sanderson.
