Pastor Beverly Collinsworth officiated at his funeral Sept. 24. A graveside service was held Sept. 25 at Oak Hill Cemetery. Born July 20, 1911 in Valley Mills, Spaulding had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1976. He had been employed at The Texas City Refinery as an operator for 24 years until his retirement in 1973 and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Edna Spaulding. Survivors include his sons, Bobby Spaulding and Gordon Spaulding both of Santa Fe and Douglas Spaulding of Dickinson; daughters Genivee Morgan of Dickinson and Dawn Russell of Belton; sister Shirley Myrek of Houston; grandchildren Candace Knopps, D.J. Beach, Theresa Relkin, Cheryl Young, Mark Morgan, Keith Morgan, Brian Morgan, Michael Morgan, Damon Russell, Douglas Spaulding; and 14 great-grandchildren. Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to St. John's Lutheran Church, 13136 Hwy 6, Santa Fe, TX 77510
