    1. [TXMILAM] Mystery of Elizabeth Pounds solved
    2. This letter identifies the Pounds woman by the name of Elizabeth in Milam co. This woman was part of the huge Pounds clan--but not my twig...sigh. judy grimes ------------------------------------------- Those Pounds, are the children of Blevin POUNDS, son of William POUNDS and Elizabeth ROBERTS/POUNDS. Blevin b GA ca 1810-1812 m (1) Lucy unknown? (2) Lucretia RUTLEDGE/STEWART (the Rutledge is her nephew, that moved to TX with the children after the death of Blevin, but they are all the children of (1) Lucy and Blevin, Blevin and Lucretia only had one son, Alfred. I suspect the WALKER is also the descendant of sister to Blevin, as her dau md a WALKER, but several of the POUNDS in Chickasaw County married WALKERS, which are the daus of William Avery POUNDS and America BINGHAM/POUNDS, brother to Blevin. Not to be confused with the Lucy A POUNDS m James Robert KIMBRELL and also moved to TX, which is a dau of Richard Eli POUNDS and Temperence GOODWIN/POUNDS. The Lucy A listed in Milam was named after the first Lucy A, who was married in Jan 1880, enumerated in Webster County 1880 Census, with the parents of James Robert KIMBRELL, this Lucy b 1847, MS. This is all my bunch, funny they were in Milam at the same time! Hope this helps, Judi <geniesleuth@aol.com> ------------- Hello Judi--well it helps and it doesn't. It really points out the discoveries that all the related families are actually interlocked in more than one way. Just the fact of this location is just plain: mind blowing: that IN all of Texas--these Pounds/Walker people came here--in the exact spot where so many others of the same 'tree' were living.--and be distant enough in relationships to not know? hummmm. judy
