The family will celebrate her life at a later date. Mrs. Quinney died Thursday, Sept. 5, in Lee County. A resident of the Tanglewood and Lexington area all of her life, she was born Oct. 5, 1907 in Lee County to Charlie and Emma (Nettles) Muston . She married Lafayette "Fady" Dean Quinney on Aug. 23, 1925, in Lee County. Mrs. Quinney had worked in retail sales in Lexington for IGA Store and Qualls Dry Goods. She was an avid seamstress and hobbyist. She did volunteer work for the Red Cross during World War II, and also for the PTA and Cub Scouts. Preceding her in death were her husband and a great-grandson, Josh Jones. Survivors are five sons, Sercey Dean Quinney and wife Juanita of Pasadena, Daniel Wayne Quinney and wife Pita of San Antonio, Allen Don Quinney and wife June of Lexington, Kennith D. Quinney and wife Jean of Rockdale, and Lester Doyle Quinney and wife Judith of Bryan; a special niece, Pat Lerche of Lexington; two sisters, Gladys Taylor of Lexington and Pauline Reynolds of Houston; also, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
