Jim Slack officiating. Burial followed in Taylor City Cemetery. He died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002 at his residence. Mr. Kemble was born Feb. 11, 1922 in Waco the son of Elizabeth (Cobb) and Jack Kemble. Mr. Kemble had been a resident of Georgetown the last 13 years. On May 14, 1989 he was joined in marriage to Lillie Herring. He was employed as a millwright for Alcoa for 32 years until his retirement. Mr. Kemble was a member of the Thorndale VFW. He served his country in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service in World War II. Preceding him in death were his parents, first wife Sybil and one brother, Joe. Surviving are: Wife, Lillie Kemble of Georgetown; son, Robert L. Kemble and wife Leda of Austin; grandson, Robbie of Austin; sister, Kathryn Goulet of Wind Ridge, PA; Lillie’s sons, Luther Reed of Porter, Paul Reed of Georgetown and Lonnie Reed of Circleville; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Central Texas Submarine Veterans of World War II.
