On the back the toddler is identified as Preston Lewis, Cameron, Texas. Appreciate it if anyone knows who he is. My great grandparents were Jefferson Franklin (Frank) Lewis and Margarette Jane Overton. They came to Texas from North Carolina by way of Missouri. I have found from a first cousin of my grandmother's that is still living that her father, John Martin Overton, left North Carolina with the Lewis family some time after the Civil War. The Lewis family changed their mind and decided to come to Texas. Her father returned to North Carolina. The Lewis' were censused in 1870 in Indepence Missouri which was the jumping off place for California.. By 1880 they were censues in Washington County, Texas. The father of Jefferson Franklin Lewis was Thomas Lewis. His mother was Emailine?.
