A funeral was held Nov. 26 in his honor in Fort Worth. He was interred Wednesday in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale, He was born May 4, 1925 in Hallettsville. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and was a retired meat grater. He is survived by his sons Kenneth Eugene McAfee of Clayton, N.J., William Clyde McAfee of Houston and Alex McAfee Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; daughters Frances Loftis of Fort Worth, Sheila Ann Whitter of Bastrop and Shirley Wesley of San Antonio; brothers Harold McAfee and Joseph McAfee of San Antonio; sisters Delton King and Doris Walker of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
