For more than a week before her death, she was unconscious. She was born and reared in Cameron and had been given the best of education. Just 4-months and 2-days prior to her death, her father died. The funeral was from the Presbyterian church last Sunday at 5 p.m. The funeral procession was one of the largest ever witnessed in Cameron. Pall bearers: Everett Phillips; Fred Evans; Milton Tucker; Willis Goldthwaite; Wiltz Kemp and Will Paden. Honorary lady pall bearers: Miss Mazie Leverett; Miss Lula Chambers; Miss Don Lewis; Miss Bessie Hefley; Miss Florine Sampson; Miss Nell Meserve; Miss Lucile Kemp and Miss Florence Lankford. Survivors: Mrs. Vogel and son John Vogel.
