Jane, Instructions to unsubscribe are found on the main Rootsweb.com webpage, MAILING LISTS ... all mailing lists are self-subscribe and self-unsubscribe If the problem is too much mail, instead of receiving the posted items individually, one at a time, you can receive them in digest form in groupings of 25 to 30 postings in one e-mail ... I think the repeat is because you are subscribed to the mailing list and the message board ... if you are subscribed to both to receive notices, yes you will receive duplicate e-mails for each posting ... To get few, yet still stay involved in Milam Co., you can unsubscribe to the Message Board, unsubscribe the Mailing List and subscribe to the Digest List ... then you'd only recive batches of the postings vs. multiple & individual e-mails ... However, the reason you are receiving duplicate e- mail notices is because you are subscribed to BOTH the mailing list AND the message board for Milam Co. Further, if you have a COMPLAINT or PROBLEM, according to RootsWeb.com rules and policies, you do not post them DIRECTLY TO THE MAILING LIST, you e- mail the List Administrator ...
