The Rev. Jimmy Sanders officiated at her funeral Nov. 27 and burial followed at Gause Cemetery. Shafer was born Jan. 22, 1942 in Elroy, WI, to Gerald and Dorothy Champlin Shesler. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband James Shafer of Gause; mother Dorothy Shesler of Gause; sons Raymond Collins of Gause, Eugene Collins of Caldwell and Warren Collins of Cameron; brothers Victor Shesler of Grand Prairie, Alvin Shesler of San Antonio, Dale Shesler and Allen Shesler both of Gause and Curtis Shesler and Wayne Shesler both of Cameron; sister Vata Johnson of Gause; six grandchidlren and one great-grandchild.
