In search of local heroes The Cameron Herald is planning a special issue commemorating the anniversary of the Sept. 11 tragedy and how its changed our lives. To honor the heroes who died that day, we are looking for local stories about local heroes. Local heroes arent necessarily emergency services workers, volunteer firefighters or police officers (though they most certainly can be nominated) but could also be someone who mentors reading or math, works with senior citizens, or nearly anyone else who works in obscurity to make a significant difference in the life of our community.
