My Grays(my husbands) came first to Bell Co. then Milam in 1870s from Meriwether Co. Ga. The first one was Emanuel Gray and wife MaryAnn Elizabeth McSwain,he was in CSA in Ga. They had a dozen or more children,he is buried in Walker Creek Cem. in Milam Co. and she is buried in Coleman Co.,died several years later and lived with some of her children there. Their son William Allen Gray is my husband's ancestor,who is unmarked grave Walker's Ck. per family info.His wife was a Casper. There was anolther Gray family in Milam,unrelated I believe,a Dr. Gray and family. Marion
