Galveston Daily News – Sat., 11 Aug 1877, p. 3, c. 6 Death - Rockdale Messenger, Aug. 2 - Last Saturday night, J. R. Donaway, white, was struck on the head by Harrison Wilson, negro, from which he died on Monay. The murder occurred near Cameron. Wilson was arrested.
