Baker was born Dec. 8 1942 in Trinity. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and worked as a crane operator for a fertilizer manufacturing company. He is survived by his wife, Pat Baker of Cameron; a son, Carl Eugene Baker of Houston; a daughter Theresa Baker of Cameron; his mother Faye Othel Baker of Cameron; two brothers Richard Raymond Baker and Glenn William Baker, both of Cameron; a sister Bonita Faye Baker of Cleveland, Texas; and two grandchildren.
