Rev. Reuel J. Cooper and Rev. Gary McManus officiated. Mr. Brown died suddenly Sunday, Oct. 29 at his residence in Lexington. He had lived in Lexington all his life. He was born July 3, 1950 in Cameron to James Jefferson and Mildred (Summerville) Brown. He worked as a operations superintendent for TU Operations in Rockdale for 11 years. He married Judith Kathleen Young on Dec. 8, 1973 in Caldwell. He is preceded in death by his mother Mildred Brown. He is survived by his wife, Judith (Young) Brown of Lexington; two sons, Matthew David Brown and Michael Davis Brown, both of Lexington; a daughter Jenna Lee Brown of Lexington; his father, James Brown and step-mother Maurine Brown of Pleasant Grove; and in-laws, George and Geneva Young of Rockdale. Also, two brothers, Keith Brown and wife Sharon of Giddings, and Don Brown and wife Lyn of Austin; a brother-in-law Steve Young and wife Lynn of Houston’ three sisters, Carol Frosch and husband Charles of Bryan, Marsha Leake and husband David of Round Rock, and Karen Brown of Clear Lake. Also, by nieces and nephews Amy Brown, Stacy and Stephen Brown, Kevin , Jared and Brian Frosch, James and Emily Leake and Walker and Lindsey Young. Pall bearers were Don Brown, Keith Brown, Charles Frosch, John Mekoli, Steve Young, Phillip Brown, Sandy Brown and David Leake. Mr. Brown was a deacon and Sunday school superintendent at Pleasant Grove Church, and a Little League coach. He was a 9172 graduate of Texas A&M with a major in physical education and a second major in 1977 in biology. A memorial account has been established at NBC Bank in Rockdale toward the continuing education of his children.
