Joe Stansell officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Beene died Wednesday, Feb. 1 in a Houston hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Beene was born May 6, 1968 in Houston. He was a reporter for the Brazosport Facts in Clute. Mr. Beene was a 1986 graduate of C.H. Yoe High School in Cameron, and a 1992 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. Survivors are his mother, Dorothy Standard of Milano; father, Jurrel Beene of Friendswood; step-father, Tommy Standard of Milano; a sister Dena Michelle Beene of Milano; his maternal grandmother, Jewel Condray of Cameron; his paternal grandmother, Eva Standard of Milano; and his fiancée, Rita Herrera of Lake Jackson.
