Services were held Sept. 4 in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud with the Rev. James Wheeless officiating. Burial followed in Vogelsang Cemetery. Hering, a homemaker, was born March 31, 1931 in Lindale to Claud and Marshall Perdue Forrister. She was raised in Mineola and lived in the Ben Arnold community for the past 31 years. She was a member of Ben Arnold United Church of Christ. She married Glenard Hering Jan. 28, 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Albert Forrister. Survivors include her husband, Glenard Hering of Ben Arnold; son, Raymond Hering and daughter, Betty Paddie, both of Ben Arnold; brother, Joe Forrister of Mineola; sisters, Barbara Ann Cook of Henderson and Jattie Mae Santone of Shreveport, LA; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
