Mr. Adams passed away on Sept. 20, 2006. He was born Dec. 6, 1925 in Reform, Mississippi and passed away in Humble. He was the brother of Rev. Leslie Adams (The Country Preacher) and wife Carrie of Rockdale. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary in 2005; daughter Barbara JoAnn, granddaughter Danielle Patton, and sisters Mary, Ora Mae, and Mavis. He is survived by his daughter Brenda Reeves and her husband Jerry, two granddaughters Deana McHenry of Houston and Dawn Fennell and husband Brian of Hazlehurst, MS. He had nine great-grandchildren, Colby Reeves, Justin Boyanton, Bethany Patton, Sierra McHenry, Michael Boyanton, Dillion Patton, Abby Fennell, Jacob Griffing, and MacKenzie Patton. Mr. Adams was a Christian and a member of the Baptist faith. He was retired from The Beaumont Enterprise newspaper, having worked there for 41 years.
