He was born February 3, 1920 in Cameron, Texas. He was a resident of Houston since 1952. He was a member of Lazybrook Baptist Church and Reagan Masonic Lodge #1037. He served on Tankers, WW II, and L.S.T.'s in Korean War, Past Post Commander V.F.W. Post 4458, Caldwell ,Texas. He was preceded in death by son, William Samuel "Bill" Radtke, Jr., wife, Marie Elenor Sausser Radtke and wife, Billie E. Scarborough Radtke. Survivors include daughters, Kathleen Mae Radtke and Mary Christine Radtke Ross and her husband David; step-son, Milton Holecek and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Nathan Lightfoot, Grantham Ross, James Ross and Jessica Holecek along with others relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 21 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories, Houston, Texas
