Memorial service was held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Jan Campbell of Peace Lutheran Church officiating. She was born Nov. 25, 1942 in Corpus Christi to Mac and Frances (Coulter) McCaskill. She married Clayton R. Pelzel on Oct. 29, 1960 in Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Pelzel was a homemaker and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale and taught children in Sunday school. Mrs. Pelzel was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Garcia; granddaughter, Chelsea Pelzel. Survivors include her husband, Clayton Pelzel of Rockdale; two sons, Clayton Lee Pelzel and wife Audrey of Rockdale and Thomas Pelzel and wife Kelli of Rockdale; three daughters, Karen Pelzel of Deanville, Cindy Pelzel of Rockdale and Melissa Janecek and husband Dwayne of Fulshear; sister, Judy Robbins and husband Dannie of Buda; 14 grandchildren, Clay, Nick, and Allison Pelzel, Wesley, Benjamin and Logan Pelzel, Jerilynn, Jon and Jake Machac, Kelli Heitman, Stryker nad Britanny Sulak, and John and Sarah Snelson. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Parkinson Foundation.
