Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. John Warren of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Rockdale and Rev. Morris Cook and Rev. Willie Phillips officiating. Mrs. Cook was born Sept. 17, 1924 in Sacremento, CA to Anna Lee and Morris K. Cunningham. She married Byron Floyd Cook, Jr. on March 23, 1946 in Gainesville. She was a registered nurse from S.M.U. and a nurse for Richards Memorial Hospital and also the school nurse for Rockdale ISD. She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Rockdale. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Dean Cunningham. Survivors include her husband, B.F. Cook, Jr. of Rockdale; three sons, Byron Floyd Cook, III, M.D. of Longview, Robert Timmons Cook of Liberty and Morris Coleman Cook of Howe; daughter, Rebecca Kay Cook Kirkpatrick of Moore, OK; three brothers, Milton Kirkpatrick of McCloud, OK, Jerry Cunningham of Chickasha, OK and Don Cunningham of Norman, OK; sister, Margie Henson of Edmond, OK and step-mother LaRue Cunningham of Oklahoma City, OK; eight grandchildren, Courtney Jo Spearman, Chad Cook, Seth Cook, Jessica Cook, Talitha Cook, Kayla Cook, Taylor Cook and Mack Hunter.
