Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church with burial in St. Monica’s Cemetery. A wake service was held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Mr. Natek, a retired maintenance man for Taylor ISD. He was born May 3, 1920 in Pysley, Czechoslovakia and immigrated to Taylor in 1952 with his wife Hilda Doerfler Natek (born 23 May 1922). She preceded him in death on 15 May 1986, in Austin, Travis Co., TX. He later married Clara Humplik [Hertenberger] on 16 Jan 1993 in Travis Co., TX. Survivors include his wife, Clara Natek of Taylor; four daughters, Renne Green and husband David of Taylor, Janice Earley and husband Norman of Taylor, Rebecca Delich and husband Dan of Round Rock and Nancy Natek and husband Paul Alsing of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Jarmila Kanková of Cercany, Czechoslovakia; five grandchildren, Breana Earley, Matthew Earley, Megan Earley, Stephanie Delich and Scott Delich; step-son, Joe Lee Humplik of Cameron; step-daughter, Gladys Lee of Cameron.
