Burial will be at Rockdale I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Mr. McVoy died Saturday at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. He was the owner and operator of the McVoy Grocery & Feed Store in Rockdale from 1943 to his retirement in 1999. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Hilda McVoy of Rockdale; three daughters and a son-in-law, Janice and Bobby Pelzel and Lori McVoy, all of Rockdale, and Mary Jo Bennett of Conroe; a sister, Winnie Leona McVoy of Rockdale; a niece; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
