Mr. Lara-Cruz died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at his residence. A resident of Rockdale for the past six years, he was born Nov. 15, 1978, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Silvestre and Cesaria Cruz. Preceding him in death were a brother, Pablo Cruz, and a nephew, Antonio Medina Cruz. Survivors are two brothers, Higinio Cruz and wife Millie, Martin Cruz and wife Paula, all of Austin; five sisters, Jesus, Isabela, Virgilia, Juana and Reyna, all of Mexico; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
