Mrs. Ledwell died Wednesday, Nov. 6, in Rockdale. A resident of Minerva for 60 years, she was born July 8, 1920, in Oklahoma to Maggie (Watson) Brown. She married William Fletcher Ledwell on Oct. 24, 1942, in Denison. Mrs. Ledwell was a homemaker, member of the Church of Christ, and founding member of Minerva Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Minerva Water Corp. She was also an avid bowler in Rockdale and Cameron leagues. Preceding her in death were her husband, William Fletcher Ledwell, on March 18, 2002; a son, Jimmy Ray Ledwell, on Dec. 31, 2001; and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors are a son, Bill E. Ledwell of Oxnard, CA; six grandchildren, David Ledwell of Lewisville, Burle Ray Ledwell of Lewisville, Ann Marie Graham and husband Joel of Minerva, Margaret Howard of Arlington; Larry Ledwell and wife Renee of Oxnard, CA, and Lisa Ledwell of Oxnard, CA; also, seven great-grandchildren.
