Henry Balous KITE and wife Mary Sampier Kite lived in Milam co. before the 1900 census. They were in Burleson co. in 1870, Bowie by 1880 and moved through Erath-and Leon and again into Milam. Henry Balous known as H.B. Kite, was the oldest living son of Henry kite and margaret winafred williams kite of butler co. alabama. The oldest was George--and he married and disappeared-family has not discovered his fate. This family Kite moved to Harmon co.tx, Hollis area and homesteaded. Two months later after this was filed--the youngest brother of H.B. Kite -the baby brother --joseph denson kite eloped with lisa elizabeth "lizzie"dodd in milam co. 30 nov. 1902 and escaped by climbing out a bedroom window and riding on a mule to get married. Sampier and Mattie Morton, defendants, Cause No. 3930, Milam County District Court, filed on Sept. 13, 1902 - Petition states plaintiffs and defendants are the children and heirs of P. M. Sampier, Sr. and Mary Sampier, both deceased, and they both died in the state, with only the plaintiffs and defendants as their only heirs. Plaintiffs sue for partition of estate.
