Ferryott, a genius chief delight is to be considered a bully, without any provocation attacked F. Valentine, a youth who is small in stature, quiet and unobtrusive. After striking Valentine several severe blows in the face and mouth, Ferryott got him down and was cruelly beating him, when Valentine, who by this time had his knife out, gave his antagonist several deep cuts in the side, which for some days were considered moral, but late accounts from the wounded man show him to be convalescing.
